Tonight’s dinner was really out of the box!
- Turkey+lean ground beef meatloaf (with oatmeal and green veggie puree)
- Sauteed Chayote squash (which tasted like a sweet potato home fry, but a little different texture)
The verdict? Will try the Chayote squash again. And the quinoa, too, but maybe a little more jazzed up. Plain was too plain.
It’s interesting to read about these new foods that we are trying. Chayote squash, for instance, was eaten by the Aztecs. And quinoa has a very high protein content. Pretty cool, huh?
