I found a link to a great article this morning: Healthy Eating Lessons from America’s Best Chefs. It has some great tips, especially:
- Find a morning routine. Glad to know I’m not alone in having a breakfast routine. My go to breakfast? Oatmeal (not from a packet), light soy milk and frozen blueberries. Add a green smoothie or banana on the days I train.
- Know and tame your temptation. I’m learning to allow myself occasional treats, but there are some things I can’t eat in moderation, including fresh cherries, Kashi Go Lean Crunch, Dove Dark Chocolate Almonds, and Good and Delish Probiotic Boost Blend. I’m learning just not to keep those in the house.
- Eat homemade treats only. This one isn’t easy, and I’m working on it. But not only is homemade better, it’s almost always better for you. You know what’s in it, and it usually doesn’t include anything that you can’t pronounce.
Do any of the tips in the article resonate with you? Are you working on any of the items mentioned?
